Attorney Bell is a member of The Flood Group, an organization that serves as a vehicle for bringing together diverse talents and forces within the community to foster the achievement of a quality education for all children.
The goals of the Flood Group are to:
- empower youth through programs that enhance engagement and academic achievement;
- promote literacy amongst youth as a means to close the achievement and opportunity gaps;
- engage parents in their child’s educational journey with information, access, and supportive capacity; and
- collaborate with community partners to build a foundation of support for distressed communities.
A native of Wadesboro, NC, Attorney Bell attended Anson County public schools where he graduated with honors. He holds Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business Administration, and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
For the past 24 years, Attorney Bell has been zealously representing seriously injured clients in the courts of North Carolina. Having been selected by his peers for inclusion in “Best Lawyers in America” since 2006 – present. Attorney Bell maintains an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell. Attorney Bell is also a Certified Mediator and much of his practice focuses on assisting parties in resolving their disputes through mediation and arbitration. He has served on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Board of Directors for the NC Justice Center, and previously served as the president of the N.C. Association of Black Lawyers.
Attorney Bell is a frequent lecturer for the American Association for Justice where he speaks nationally, the N.C. Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers.
Attorney Bell, also known as Pastor Bell, has served as the senior pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wendell, NC since 2006.
Attorney Bell is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
